The Frenchman is out of contract at Barcelona next summer, and is yet to commit to a new deal at the club; he is set to depart in the summer as a free agent.
Barcelona were keen on offloading the winger in January, but failed to move him on, while it was claimed Chelsea boss Tuchel contacted him over a move to Stamford Bridge.
However, Tuchel, who managed the player at former club Borussia Dortmund, rubbished claims he made contact with Dembele during the winter window.
The German added that he is satisfied with how the transfer window went for Chelsea, and stressed he was very calm during the entire period.
“I am satisfied [with the transfer window] because it was a calm window and to be calm was the best thing”, Tuchel told a press conference.
“We were open for things.
“I did not have contact with Ousmane.
“There was no contact in winter between us.”
As it stands Dembele is tipped to move to Paris Saint-Germain next summer, but he will not be short of suitors if he does choose not to go to the Parc des Princes.
