Bentancur was snapped up by Spurs on a permanent deal from Juventus during the January transfer window, with the north London side beating Aston Villa to his signature.
He has had to wait to link up with his new club though as he has been on international duty with Uruguay and has also been waiting for a work permit.

Now the Uruguayan midfielder is at Tottenham and the club have taken to social media to show off him joining in training.
Bentancur was pictured in his Tottenham training kit on the pitch and cut a happy figure.
Spurs boss Antonio Conte will now run the rule over Bentancur and see what level he is at physically and when he is ready to be considered for game time.
Tottenham are in FA Cup action on Saturday when they are due to play host to fellow Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion.
Bentancur, 24, won the Italian league title three times during his spell at Juventus, as well as picking up the Italian cup twice.
