Cresswell is a key player in the Leeds Under-23s side under Mark Jackson, while he is a regular on the bench under first team boss Marcelo Bielsa in the Premier League this season.
The defender was spending some time on the sidelines owing to a shoulder injury but returned to Jackson’s starting eleven on Monday night, heling his team register a 3-0 win in Premier League 2 against Liverpool Under-23s.
The Leeds faithful gathered at Elland Road could hear Cresswell being vocal in the heart of defence and he has revealed that talking from the back really helps him with his performance, helping him get into the zone and making him more aware.
Asked about being a vocal presence on the pitch, Creswell told LUTV: “Well, talking from the back, it helps me in my game, in my performance.
“It helps me get in shape and switch my head on.
“It makes me very aware.”
Creswell added that playing at Elland Road gives the Under-23s side a massive boost every time but stressed he and his team-mates will always give the team 100 per cent no matter where they play.
“It [playing games at Elland Road] just gives us a massive boost.
“We love coming to play at Elland Road.
“It gives us a much better feeling than playing at Thorp Arch, obviously as it should.
“Yes, we love it, and we will obviously give 100 per cent no matter what or where it is.”
Creswell has four top flight appearances to his name so far this season and will be determined to add to that tally in the coming months.
