The Gunners signed the former Feyenoord youngster in the summer of 2020 and he has been turning heads with his performances for the club’s academy.
He is yet to make his debut for the Gunners, but Mhand has made the Arsenal matchday squad twice this season, once in the FA Cup and another time in the Premier League.
Robin van Persie was one of the former Arsenal stars who made the journey from Feyenoord to Arsena,l but Oulad claimed that he gets compared with another Gunners legend in Bergkamp.
However, he is keen to move on and make a name for himself, just like the former Arsenal great did.
Mhand told Dutch daily the Algemeen Dagblad: “Yes, I am aware of those similarities, but I am compared here with Dennis Bergkamp because of my ability on the ball.
“Bergkamp is a legend, so that’s nice.
“But what I especially want is to make a name for myself.”
The talent conceded that being at a Premier League club was a goal but he wants to do more and write his own story at Arsenal just like Bergkamp did all those years ago.
“Playing and training for a Premier League club could have been the end goal for my career.
“I am blessed to be here now and a debut is just a debut, it’s about what you do in the 15 years after that.
“Then, as Bergkamp did, you can really write history.”
