The Magpies made no fewer than five signings in the January window, bolstering their squad across the pitch and the likes of Dan Burn, Matt Targett and Chris Wood have all played key roles in helping them climb out of the drop zone.

Newcastle recently had a warm weather training camp in Dubai where the players were able to recharge their batteries and relax a bit.

Magpies star Willock has revealed that boss Howe has built an environment at St James’ Park in which all his charges are involved, which has helped all their new signings to settle in well.

Willock added that the entire Newcastle squad are required to do team-bonding activities which has allowed them to learn about each other more.

“Yes [the new players have settled in well]”, Willock told NUFC TV.

“The manager makes it so easy for them because he builds an environment where everyone is involved.

“He builds an environment where we do activities that everyone can get to learn about each other.

“So, it makes it so much easier for them to settle in.

“But obviously, it is credit to Newcastle for recruiting such brilliant, brilliant characters on and off the pitch to come into a group and just integrate so easily.”

Newcastle suffered back-to-back losses in their last two Premier League outings and will be looking to get back into the win column at the weekend when they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the capital.
