Everton are going to Burnley tonight on the backdrop of a poor run of form that sees them sitting in 17th in the league table.
It is being termed a relegation six-pointer as Burnley would move to just one point behind Everton if they can collect the win this evening.
Osman admitted that he is worried about Everton’s prospects at Turf Moor and stressed that while Burnley have experience of digging out results in difficult circumstances, Everton do not know how to do that.
The former Everton star said on talkSPORT: “Yes, I do worry going to Burnley tonight.
“[They are] a team who know in these difficult situations how to dig games out, how to keep it tight, how to win in a really ugly manner and get the necessary points.
“Everton don’t know how to do that.”
He stressed that Everton have no option but to improve as in their current form they will be relegated from the Premier League.
Osman feels teams below Everton are going to win a few more games, which means the Toffees need to pick up points.
“Everton have to improve.
“If they continue as they are doing in this fashion then they will go down.
“There is no doubt that Burnley and Watford will win two or three games between now until the end of the season.
“Everton have to start doing that too.”
