The Premier League giants announced earlier today that their top two scouts Lawlor and Marcel Bout have left the club.
Bout was brought in by Louis van Gaal and was later promoted to head of global scouting and Lawlor was at Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson was their manager.
Lawlor spent 16 years at Manchester United and was the club’s head scout when he left, and many believe it is the sign of the club refreshing their scouting department ahead of the arrival of Erik ten Hag.
There are suggestions that Manchester United are moving towards a radical shift in recruitment but Neville is unsure that Lawlor’s departure is going to do that.
He claimed that the former Ferguson scout had effectively been sidelined at the club for years before he departed today.
The Manchester United legend took to Twitter and wrote: “Not quite sure we’re going to see a revolution.
“Jim has been marginalised for years so this won’t shift the dial.”
It remains to be seen who Manchester United bring in to replace the two head scouts just months ahead of the transfer window.
