John-Jules has made only one appearance for the Owls in the entirety of his loan spell, coming off the bench in a match against Ipswich Town shortly after going to Hillsborough in January.
Injury has prevented him from taking any further part in the season and he is back at Arsenal, meaning that if the loan spell’s intention was to get him more experience, it fell short.
Moore revealed that he no longer sees John-Jules being part of the Wednesday squad as the season approaches an end.
Being back at Arsenal to continue his recovery, Moore has insisted that the young striker is only technically a Sheffield Wednesday player.
“He is stepping up his rehab and doing very well but he falls into the same category as Dom [Dominic Iorfa, who is also injured]”, Moore said in a press conference.
“It will be three to four weeks.
“We don’t envisage him being part of the season campaign.
“The loan agreement is still in force and he is technically a Wednesday player but he is continuing to do his rehab at Arsenal.”
John-Jules spent the first half of the campaign at Championship side Blackpool but even there he only made eight starts and taking a step down to a division below has not paid off.
