The midfielder has struggled with his fitness since joining Rangers from Juventus in January but he was coming into his own in recent weeks.
However, Ramsey suffered another injury setback when he was taken off just before half-time in Rangers’ win over Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final last weekend due to a hamstring problem.
There were fears that the Welshman could miss the rest of the season but Van Bronckhorst has insisted that he is likely to return to action sooner than anticipated.
The Rangers boss believes Ramsey could be fit to face Leipzig in the return leg of their Europa League semi-final tie next month.
Van Bronckhorst also revealed that striker Kemar Roofe will be out for a few weeks as well due to a knee injury.
The Rangers manager said in a press conference: “Ramsey we will hopefully have him back around the Leipzig home game.
“We also had a problem with Roofe after the game with his knee.
“For him it is the same, out for some weeks and hopefully returns around the Leipzig home match.”
Ramsey has featured ten times for Rangers so far this term and will be hoping to add to that number before his loan stint expires at the end of the campaign.
