El Ghazi joined the Toffees in January on a six-month loan deal from top flight rivals Aston Villa, while Rafael Benitez was still in charge of the club.
The winger has only featured twice for Everton in the Premier League this season, coming off the bench on both occasions while clocking up a combined eleven minutes.
El Ghazi has largely remained a fringe player under new boss Frank Lampard and he is yet to see a reason to give him more game time, despite goals having come at a premium for them.
And the Merseyside giants are not planning to make the Lions loanee’s move permanent in the summer.
Everton do not see the 26-year-old having a future at the club and will allow him to return to Villa Park in the summer.
The Toffees’ own future in the Premier League is under threat as they are currently toiling in the drop zone.
Everton’s transfer business in the next window will largely depend on whether they will be able to maintain their top flight status this season.
