Leipzig won 1-0 in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final tie against Rangers last week and will be looking to complete the job at Ibrox on Thursday.
Rangers are very much in the tie, but many are insisting that they need a forward to spearhead their attack at home to have any chance of beating the Bundesliga giants and reaching the final of the Europa League.
Roofe has been expected to return to fitness ahead of the second leg along with Ramsey, who injured his hamstring in Rangers’ win over Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final.
Rangers fans have been hopeful that their two big stars could make a difference on Thursday night, but Van Bronckhorst stressed that he still does not know whether either will play against Leipzig.
“We still have one final training session”, the Rangers boss told a press conference when asked about Roofe and Ramsey’s availability.
“At the moment I can’t say if Roofe or Ramsey will make the squad tomorrow.”
Van Bronckhorst admitted that he is looking to the fans to push Rangers forward at Ibrox on Thursday as they bid to turn the tie around.
“We all have the same goal, to reach the final.
“The fans will always be important for us at home, they are a big factor tomorrow.
“It will be a noisy night. It will be emotional and we will be ready when the whistle goes.”
Rangers could yet end the season with two trophies in the shape of the Scottish Cup and the Europa League.
