Leeds suffered another defeat on Wednesday night when they were beaten 3-0 by Chelsea at Elland Road, having Daniel James sent off in the process.

They continue to sit inside the relegation zone with games running out and James joining key men Stuart Dallas and Luke Ayling as unavailable for the rest of the season; it is also unclear whether Patrick Bamford will be able to return.

The club sacked Marcelo Bielsa to make way for Marsch, but despite an initial upturn in results, Leeds are now at serious risk of relegation.

Agbonlahor does not believe the appointment of Marsch has worked for Leeds and now thinks that the Whites will not pick up another point this season.

“I said at the start of the season that Leeds would have second season syndrome and they would go down”, Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT.

“They did well under Bielsa but it wasn’t working under Bielsa in the end.

“Jesse Marsch has come in with no Premier League experience and it hasn’t worked for me.

“They’ve lost now Ayling, Dallas, Dan James, Bamford probably won’t play again – that’s three out of their best five players.

“The rest of the team is probably a Championship team and I don’t think they will get another point this season.”

The defeat against Chelsea means that Leeds’ goal difference has now worsened to minus 38, the same number as already relegated Watford; Burnley’s goal difference is minus 17.
