Inter are in talks with Chelsea for the signature of Lukaku on loan for a season in the ongoing transfer window.

Lukaku left Inter to move to Chelsea last summer for a club-record fee but he struggled under Thomas Tuchel and the Blues manager is keen to move him on.

The Belgian has been pining for a return to Inter for some time and the talks are ongoing between the two clubs over a loan deal.

According to Italian outlet FcInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri are pushing to get a deal over the line for the 29-year-old by the end of the week.

Inter are pushing to work out the agreement with Chelsea soon and get Lukaku to undergo a medical on Thursday or Friday.

But the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement over the loan fee with Chelsea still sticking to their demand of €10m.

Inter’s last offer was around the €8m mark but Chelsea want the Serie A giants to meet their financial demands.

It has been claimed that Inter could include add-ons to reach Chelsea’s financial expectations.
