Jesus could be on his way out of the Etihad this summer as the Citizens have added in the attacking department with Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.

Arsenal have a strong interest in taking the striker to the Emirates and they are in pole position to secure his services.

However, the striker has also been linked with Arsenal’s arch-rivals Tottenham and it is claimed that Spurs want to make a late bid and hijack the Gunners’ pursuit.

Spurs are planning no such thing as they will not be making an offer for the striker this summer and the Gunners have to worry about one less thing in their pursuit.

Jesus has admirers at Tottenham but they are currently prioritising different things and will not be a contender for the striker’s signature.

Spurs are in the market for a centre-back and a right-back, with Middlesbrough star Djed Spence a priority in the latter position.

Talks between Arsenal and Manchester City are progressing as the Gunners look to agree a deal with the Citizens this summer for a price below their £50m price-tag.
