The 21-year-old only joined the Hoops in January but earned regular game time under Ange Postecoglou in the latter half of last season en route to their Scottish Premiership triumph.

O’Riley’s exploits in Scotland have not gone unnoticed as it has been claimed that he is among Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers’ top targets in the ongoing window.

The Hoops star admitted he is aware of interest from the Foxes but stressed he is not concerned about transfer rumours as he is very happy at Parkhead.

“Yes, I’ve heard a little about the interest from Leicester, but it’s not something I’m actually thinking about right now”, O’Riley told Danish outlet Bold.dk.

“The transfer window is quite crazy with rumours and interest, but I am aware that Leicester are warm on me.

“Right now, though, I think Celtic are a good place to be.

“I have good friends around me, my relationship with the coach is good, and the fans are something very special.

“I feel that Celtic is the perfect place for me, but of course it’s great to have interest, because it means I’m playing well.”

O’Riley insisted that he will play for Celtic next season and stressed he is looking forward to testing his mettle in the Champions League, which has been one of his childhood dreams.

“Yes, [I] definitely [expect to play for Celtic next season].

“It is a huge club and now we have to play in the Champions League against a lot of big clubs.

“It’s a huge dream for me.

“I’ve hoped for it since I was a little boy, and now I get to play against the best players in the world, so I’m looking forward to getting started.”

Aaron Mooy has added to Celtic’s options in midfield, while Leicester are yet to make a single signing so far in the window and it remains to be seen whether they will move for O’Riley.
