Raul Jimenez injured his MCL during pre-season and is set to be out for a number of months, which created a striker crisis at Wolves this summer.

The Black Country club are now looking to get a forward and are stepping up on their efforts to sign a striker in the coming weeks.

Batshuayi has emerged as a target for Wolves, who are now in talks to sign the Belgian on loan.

The 28-year-old is not part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans and Chelsea are open to letting the player go this summer as well.

Wolves are interested in the player and the negotiations between the two clubs are at an advanced stage.

Chelsea are also prepared to pay part of his wages in order to facilitate Batshuayi’s loan departure this summer.

However, Wolves are not the only club chasing the Belgian as he is also a big target for Everton in the ongoing window.

Everton’s forward crisis has been further exacerbated by Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury and he is expected to be out for three months.
