Dale is Pompey’s eleventh addition this summer, and fourth on loan, but they are still eyeing one more winger to make up for the departure of last season’s top scorer Marcus Harness for Ipswich Town.
Danny Cowley’s side have added Marlon Pack, Zak Swanson, Joe Rafferty, Joshua Oluwayemi, Colby Bishop, Michael Morrison and Tom Lowery on permanent deals, with Josh Griffiths, Joe Pigott, Dane Scarlett and Dale joining on loan until the end of the season.
And Portsmouth are still hoping to sign one more winger after Dale’s arrival.
Harness scored 12 goals and laid on seven assists in all competitions for Pompey during the 2021/22 season from 44 matches.
Dale made 15 appearances for the Seasiders in the Championship last season, scoring two goals and laying on an assist.
Portsmouth started the season with a high-scoring draw at Sheffield Wednesday and followed that with a stalemate at home to Lincoln City.
Next, they will play away to Cheltenham Town on Saturday and will look to get their first win of the campaign, in a bid to better their tenth-placed finish from the previous season.
