Roma are eyeing bringing in a centre-back before the window slams shut on 1st September and several players are being assessed.

Manchester United’s Eric Bailly is one of the several centre-backs Roma are looking at but a final decision has not been made.

Lindelof has been heavily linked with a move to Roma as well with the Serie A giants still assessing their options.

But according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, the Swede appears to be the defender that the Roma boss wants this summer.

Lindelof was brought to Manchester United by Mourinho and he remains a firm admirer of the centre-back.

The arrival of Lisandro Martinez has pushed him out of the starting eleven and he was not in the matchday squad against Brighton last weekend.

But it is still unclear whether Manchester United are considering selling the Swede in the ongoing window.

The situation with Bailly is clearer with Manchester United more than willing to let him go this summer.
