The 22-year-old was snapped up by Spezia just last year from Slovakian side Zilina, where he had caught the eye.

Kiwior has also impressed in Italian football and his efforts have drawn admiring glances, with AC Milan keeping close tabs on his continuing development.

It is West Ham though who have gone in with a bid for the Poland international and, according to Sky Italia, they have slapped in an important offer.

Hammers boss David Moyes wants to add defenders to his squad and wants to do a deal for Kiwior.

It remains to be seen if the proposal put on the table by the Premier League side will be enough to turn Spezia’s head.

The centre-back has already turned out for Spezia this season, playing in their Coppa Italia thrashing of Como, who were dispatched 5-1.

Kiwior won his first Poland cap earlier this year and all eyes will be on whether he makes the leap to the Premier League this summer.
