Spurs have agreed a fee for the left-back’s signature with Udinese and are now speeding to complete the deal.

Udogie is in London and Tottenham will put him through a series of thorough medical checks before then placing a contract on the table for him to sign.

Once the move goes through, Tottenham will instantly loan Udogie back to Udinese for the remainder of the season.

The youngster will then return to Tottenham next summer with, Spurs will hope, another season of regular football under his belt at Udinese.

Udogie has caught the eye at Udinese and Tottenham wanted to move quickly to secure his services and beat rivals to his signature.

The 19-year-old has not been involved for Udinese yet this season due to the transfer being in the works.

Udinese progressed in the Coppa Italia earlier this month, while they opened their Serie A campaign at the weekend with a 4-2 loss away at AC Milan.
