However, contrary to claims, Tottenham do not have serious interest in snapping up James at present even though he is a player on their radar.
Valencia remain keen on Gil, but Tottenham boss Antonio Conte does not want to compromise on his squad’s depth by allowing him to leave without another player lined up.
