Winks is in Italy to complete a loan move to the Serie A outfit as he looks to rekindle his career at Sampdoria.

The Italian club have an agreement in place with Tottenham to have Winks on loan for the season.

Spurs have also agreed to pay a considerable part of his wages to facilitate his move to the Serie A outfit in the ongoing transfer window.

And it has been claimed that Sampdoria have also managed to include an option to buy clause in the loan agreement.

The Italian club will have an option to make the midfielder’s switch permanent for a fee of €25m.

Tottenham will hope that Winks does enough at the club to convince them to take up the option.

The midfielder is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans and was training away from the rest of the first team squad over the summer.
