The transfer window slam will slam shut an hour before midnight today and Fulham boss Marco Silva is keen to bolster his side further before time runs out.

Silva wants reinforcements up front and Fulham have zeroed in on Benfica hitman Vinicius.

Vinicius was playing his trade on a two-year loan at Dutch side PSV Eindhoven last term but has terminated his contract there.

And according to Portuguese sports daily Record, the Brazilian is set to leave Benfica again, with Fulham now his destination.

The Cottagers will pay Benfica an initial fee of €5m for Vinicius but that figure could raise up to €11m if certain stipulations in his contract are met.

Vinicius has previous experience playing in the Premier League, having had a loan stint at Tottenham Hotspur during the 2020/21 season.

The striker will now hope to help Fulham survive their first season back in the top flight.
