Liverpool have won just two of their seven games in the opening weeks of the season and slumped to another damaging 4-1 defeat at Napoli on Wednesday night.
Jurgen Klopp looked dejected at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona after the game and conceded that his side might need to reinvent themselves to turn their form around in the coming weeks.
Warnock admitted that it was hard to see that the senior Liverpool players and the manager appear to have no idea what the problem the team are going through at the moment.
The former Liverpool star stressed that the concerning part was Klopp feels the need for reinvention but there is no time for that on the training pitch given the fixture pile-up ahead of the World Cup break.
Warnock said on LFC TV after the Napoli game: “The questions have been asked to James Milner, Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk and the manager and not one single person has come out and said, ‘we know what is wrong, it will take time to get it right’.
“My biggest concern at the moment was when Jurgen Klopp said, we might need to reinvent ourselves.
“How do you do that leading up to the World Cup?
“[How do you do that by] not being able to train on the pitch?”
Liverpool are seventh in the league table and are set to host Wolves at Anfield this weekend.
