Last Saturday, Darren Moore’s side came back to draw 2-2 after trailing by two goals to league leaders Ipswich Town at Hillsborough, but lost their EFL Trophy game against Burton Albion at home 3-2.

Sheffield Wednesday have now won only one home game out of their last four, and today they will entertain Gareth Ainsworth’s Wycombe Wanderers.

Stockdale, who featured in the game against Ipswich on Saturday, stressed that the Owls are not satisfied with the result, but insisted that a successful side always grind out results against opponents.

The 37-year-old goalkeeper is of the view that Sheffield Wednesday need to work on conceding fewer goals and scoring more, and urged his team-mates to bounce back.

“We have to concede less and score more”, Stockdale was quoted as saying by Examiner Live.

“People are going to make mistakes. It’s how you react to them.

“We have to work hard in training to cut them out.

“It was not perfect last Saturday.

“We were not happy with it but we came back.

“A good team grinds out results.”

Sheffield Wednesday are unbeaten in their last four meetings with Wycombe at Hillsborough and it remains to be seen whether Moore’s side are capable of maintaining that record.
