Haaland has started in exemplary form for Manchester City after coming to the Etihad in the summer from Borussia Dortmund.

There has been speculation that there is an exit clause in his contract that allows Real Madrid to buy him midway through his deal with Manchester City.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola dismissed any suggestions of the kind, insisting that there is no exit clause for Real Madrid or any other specific team.

What Guardiola said in essence is true, according to German magazine Sport Bild, but Haaland does have a clause.

It is claimed that Haaland’s clause would apply to all clubs and not just Real Madrid.

The chance for clubs to land Haaland means that he could exit Manchester City before his contract runs out.

Clubs such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain could be interested in taking Haaland back to Europe.
