Patino is currently on loan at Championship side Blackpool, where he has earned praise for his performances.

The midfielder has made eight appearances for Blackpool so far, with one goal, and featured in the Seasiders’ first Championship victory in over a month last weekend.

Patino’s contract with Arsenal ends next summer and the Gunners do have the option to extend it by two more years.

However, so far the discussions on a new deal have not begun and coupled with the midfielder’s form he has come to the attention of clubs inside and outside of England.

In addition, while Arsenal do have the option to extend his deal by two years, there is a fixed date by which it must be triggered before it lapses.

Patino however is happy at Arsenal and despite outside interest, could end up singing a new contract with the Gunners.

Arsenal also have a clause to recall him from his loan spell with Blackpool in January, but it is currently not being considered by the Gunners as they believe his time at Bloomfield Road is helping him out.
