The Yorkshire outfits are winless in their last five matches and sit in 14th place in the Premier League table with nine points out of eight games.
This weekend, Leeds United will entertain Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, who are on a five-match winning streak and currently reside at the top of the table.
Dorigo admits that it is not the ideal time to face Arsenal when they are in a great run of form and is of the view that the game against the Gunners will be a tough challenge for Leeds.
The Leeds legend stressed that Marsch’s side will need to be on top of their game on Sunday and issued a warning to the Whites that any sort of mistake will be punished by Arsenal.
“After a five-game winless streak, you really wouldn’t want to be playing Arsenal, with their eight wins from nine and five straight victories, would you?”, Dorigo wrote in his Yorkshire Evening Post column.
“They’re okay, the Gunners, aren’t they?
“But I’m quite sure when Chelsea came to town earlier this season, people were saying the same sort of things about that Blues side and we rose to that challenge magnificently.
“It remains the highlight of this season so far.
“This is another great big challenge and hopefully we can rise to it as well.
“Obviously it’s going to be extremely difficult and we need to be absolutely on our game, with no mistakes, because we’re not going to be able to afford any against an Arsenal side who look extremely strong in every department of the game.”
Arsenal are undefeated against Leeds in their previous eleven meetings, and the Gunners’ last visit to Elland Road ended with a 4-1 win over the Yorkshire outfit.
