Leeds United have only managed to pick up two points from their last five games and sit in 14th place in the league table, only three points clear of the relegation zone.
Despite having taken an early lead owing to a goal from Pascal Struijk, Marsh’s team last Sunday failed to capitalise on the advantage and lost to Crystal Palace 2-1.
Dorigo is of the view that Leeds need to get themselves out of their bad patch of form and stressed the importance of finding consistency in their performances to do so.
The Leeds United legend is of the opinion that the Yorkshire outfit performed admirably in the first half against Crystal Palace and pointed out that it is the kind of performance that results in goals.
Dorigo also stressed the need to strengthen the defence.
“Our form is a concern, of course, and our points tally from the last five games isn’t good”, Dorigo wrote in his Yorkshire Evening Post column.
“Everyone will feel a little frustrated with that because at times we’ve played okay.
“The first 45 at Palace was probably the best I’ve seen us play down there in a number of visits.
“It’s alright putting in a good 45, though, when it’s a good 90 that is needed.
“Sometimes it’s not about how well you play, it’s how badly you don’t play.
“That’s the difference, because most mistakes are so costly in this league.
“We need to get back consistency.
“But I think from a positive point of view, you look at what we did in the first 45 at Selhurst Park, that is what brings goals, and goals then bring points.
“The points aren’t coming at the moment so you’ve still got to believe, make sure the other end is always tidied up and secure and that’s where we’ve been let down slightly in one or two games recently.”
On Sunday, Leeds United will take on Arsenal, who are at the top of the Premier League table with a five-match unbeaten run.
