The 22-year-old winger has made seven league appearances for Tottenham this season, while scoring one goal and laying on three assists.

Kulusevski has been absent since coming back from the international break with a hamstring problem, missing each of Tottenham’s three clashes with Arsenal, Eintracht Frankfurt and Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Swedish international participated in the first-half of Tuesday’s training session, and Conte revealed that the player is almost fit to play, but emphasised that he will not risk Kulusevski by playing him against Europa League champions Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Spurs manager further added that it would be foolish to risk Kulusevski, who is an important player for Tottenham, and is hoping that he will be able to play against Everton on Saturday.

“I think Deki is almost ready”, Conte said at a press conference.

“Yesterday he had an MRI and it was really, really positive but at the same time, I spoke to the doctors and they said tomorrow we can have 5 per cent of risk.

“I don’t want to take risk because Deki is an important player for us.

“It would be stupid.

“We need patience and we’ve faced this situation well without him.

“Against Everton I think he will be able to play.”

Tottenham are in second place in their Champions League group with two points behind group leaders Sporting Lisbon.
