Arsenal have won eight of their opening nine Premier League games and are sitting pretty at the top of the league table this season.
With each passing result, Mikel Arteta’s side are proving their credentials as genuine title contenders despite the widespread expectation of Manchester City retaining their title this year.
Leeds will take on the Gunners on Sunday and Marsch admitted that it is hard to argue against the fact that Arsenal are in the title race at this stage of the season.
He stressed that Mikel Arteta and the squad have grown together at the Emirates and Arsenal are bearing the fruits of sticking to a certain plan despite some difficult times in recent years.
The Leeds boss said in a press conference when asked if he considers Arsenal genuine title contenders: “You have to say yes, they’ve looked very strong and played against good opponents.
“I always do a thorough job of scouting, we know they’re a good team and they have quality.
“I also like when teams and coaches improve and grow together, I think that’s what’s happened with Arsenal.
“To be back at the top of the table shows they’ve been able to find a process and stuck with it.”
Leeds will hope to derail Arsenal’s season when they host the north London club at Elland Road this weekend.
