It was near the beginning of this month that Wolves sacked Bruno Lage but they are still without a replacement for him.
Former Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui was once considered the frontrunner for the job, but Wolves were forced to look elsewhere.
Instead, Wolves’ number one recent choice was Queens Park Rangers manager Beale to take up the managerial mantle.
Despite being in his first managerial role, Beale has done an impressive job with the Championship side, with the team currently sitting top in the second tier.
Wolves have now reason for disappointment though as Beale has spurned their advances and taken the decision to stay with Queens Park Rangers.
The Midlands clubs have other candidates they are looking at such as Peter Bosz and former coach Nuno Espirito Santo.
However, their top choice has eluded them and it remains to be seen how long it takes for a replacement for Lage to be appointed.
