Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has selected his team to welcome Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United outfit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this afternoon.
Spurs find themselves sitting in third place in the Premier League, but lost 2-0 away at Manchester United in midweek and Conte will want a reaction.
Conte’s men face a Newcastle side that have lost just once in the league this term and sit in sixth place; they have also won ten times on the road in the Premier League at Tottenham.
Tottenham continue to be without Dejan Kulusevski, who suffered a setback in his recovery from injury. Richarlison has a calf problem. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Cristian Romero are not in the matchday squad.
Conte picks Hugo Lloris in goal, while Clement Lenglet, Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez are the back three. Spurs’ wing-backs today are Emerson Royal and Ryan Sessegnon.
In midfield, Conte picks Oliver Skipp and Rodrigo Bentancur, while Yves Bissouma also starts. Heung-Min Son will support Harry Kane.
If Tottenham need to make changes then they have options on the bench, including Lucas Moura and Ivan Perisic.
