Kamara has been rehabilitating from a knee ligament injury, which he sustained in September and there were fears that he could miss the World Cup.
However, his recovery has been quicker than expected and he has been doing some individual work in training this week.
It has been claimed that the midfielder could be back training with the rest of the Aston Villa squad next Monday if everything goes according to plan.
And according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Kamara could see some action for Aston Villa before the World Cup break.
The midfielder has been in constant touch with France’s medical team as he seeks to make the national squad for the World Cup.
Didier Deschamps is keeping close tabs on his rehabilitation as injury worries mount for the French coach ahead of him naming the squad next month.
Kamara is hoping to get some game time under his belt before the World Cup in order to break into the France squad.
When he returns for Aston Villa he will have another manager to work for as Unai Emery has been appointed.
