McKenna’s side are second in League One with 38 points from 18 games and have only lost one of their last eight games.

On Saturday, Ipswich will next take on Exeter, who won promotion to League One last season and are in ninth place in the league table.

The Ipswich manager stated that Exeter are the fifth highest goalscorers in the league so far this season and stressed that their forwards are very good at scoring goals with very few chances.

McKenna believes that Exeter are a very well-balanced team and Ipswich will need to defend very well against them on Saturday.

“I think their goal record sort of says all I think”, McKenna told Ipswich’s in-house media.

“They are the fifth top goalscorers in the league.

“Not that far behind ourselves and the other top goal scorers.

“Their forwards individually have good numbers and we know they can score out of very little.

“Of course they have other attributes to their team and they are pretty well balanced, but for sure they have shown since they came up in the division that they can score goals.

“We need to defend all moments against them.”

Ipswich  are undefeated in their last five games and McKenna’s side will be looking to continue their winning run against Exeter on Saturday.
