Antonio Conte’s side are fourth in the Premier League table and have qualified for the Champions League knockout stages.

Spurs will be looking to strengthen their squad in the winter transfer window before they face Italian champion AC Milan in the Champions League’s round of 16.

But Tottenham have already registered 17 foreign players for their Champions League squad, which is the limit set by UEFA.

And it has been claimed that Tottenham could loan out Gil and Sarr to clear space in their Champions League squad for new arrivals in January.

Gil was expected to be loaned out this summer to Valencia, but Conte decided at the last moment to keep the player in his squad.

Conte also blocked Sarr’s loan move to Serie A club Cremonese due to the lack of midfield options at his disposal.

Gil has made six appearances this season so far and Sarr is yet to feature for the first-team.

It remains to be seen whether both players will be allowed to leave on loan when the winter transfer window opens.
