Rangers let go of Giovanni van Bronckhorst earlier in the week, with the Gers trailing Celtic by nine points in the Scottish Premiership.
Now, Rangers are looking for a new name to take up the helm at Ibrox and one of the names suggested has been Bakhar.
The Maccabi Haifa boss acknowledged Rangers’ interest and stressed that he was flattered by it, but it seems he will not be heading to Ibrox.
Bakhar is looking to continue with the Israeli club until the end of the season and only take a decision on his future in the summer.
That all but puts the nail in the coffin regarding Bakhar coming to Rangers and the Gers will have to look elsewhere for their new manager.
Bakhar has won the Israeli Premier League two seasons running with Maccabi Haifa and has them top of the table even this campaign.
Rangers are keen on Michael Beale to take over, while other names like Sean Dyche and Ralph Hasenhuttl have also been touted.
