The 18-year-old forward has grabbed his opportunity this season in Sebastien Haller’s absence and scored six goals in 14 league appearances for Dortmund.

Moukoko’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and Dortmund are desperate to convince him to sign a new deal.

The teenager’s performances have piqued the interest of several clubs, with Manchester United and Liverpool keeping tabs on his situation at the Westfalenstadion.

The Germany international is happy at Dortmund but stressed that he needs to hear the club’s vision before he agrees to sign a new contract.

Moukoko insisted that he needs assurances over regular game time as he needs that in order to develop further.

He told Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland: “I would like to know what exactly the club intend to do with me.

“I want to develop further and without games, I can’t develop further and I don’t want my development to stop again.

“I think that’s quite normal because the perspective is important to me.”

Moukoko is currently in Qatar where he is part of Germany’s World Cup squad and already has two international caps to his name.
