Ake is a starting member of the team and has drawn a comparison between his club boss Guardiola and Van Gaal.
He pointed out that Guardiola is abnormally obsessed with the details of the game and like Van Gaal, each player is made aware of their specific role in the team regardless of the opponents.
The defender told Dutch outlet NU.nl: “Pep is not normal in terms of tactics.
“He knows exactly what will happen in a match and where the spaces will be.
“Everyone knows what to do and that is also the case with Van Gaal.”
Guardiola did play under Van Gaal when the Dutchman was managing Barcelona more than two decades ago.
