Celtic are nine points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table and are now odds-on favourites to win the league title this season.

But that has not stopped Postecoglou from investing in his squad and Celtic have already brought in two new players in Alistair Johnston and Yuki Kobayashi ahead of the winter window even opening.

Dalziel insisted that there is always a reason behind the Celtic manager’s decision to bring in fresh new faces and commended him for building a strong squad for the Bhoys.

He stressed that despite Celtic’s lead at the top of the table, the club and Postecoglou are not getting complacent and are looking to constantly move forward and invest in the squad.

Dalziel said on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard: “When Postecoglou when goes into the transfer market you think, ‘why is he bringing in another winger?’ or ‘why is he doing this?’.

“There is always a method to his madness in that sense.

“He is building a really strong squad for me.

“They are not stopping, they are moving, and they are on the front foot all the time and they are not resting on their laurels.

“They are nine points ahead, their transfer business is getting done quickly, which I think is a good thing because it settles everything down.”

Celtic will return to league action on 17th December when they travel to the Pittodrie to take on Aberdeen.
