Thuram has been gradually emerging as a coveted target for several clubs across Europe due to his contractual situation.

His current deal with Borussia Monchengladbach runs out at the end of the season and several teams such as Liverpool and Newcastle are interested in snapping him up on a free transfer next summer.

Napoli were also reportedly pushing to position themselves as an option for Thuram at the end of the campaign.

But according to Italian broadcaster Rai, the Serie A giants are not in the race for the Frenchman next summer.

They are aware of his contractual situation and the possibility of getting him for no transfer fee at the end of the season.

However, Thuram is not a player they are looking at for the moment and have other targets in mind.

Another Italian club in Inter are also interested in him but are pushing to get a deal done to sign him for €10m in January.

Bayern Munich are also looking at the Gladbach forward and have reportedly offered him a contract for a move next summer.
