Last season, Woltman made 33 appearances for Liverpool’s youth teams, scoring nine goals while providing two assists and made two senior outings for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

This season, Liverpool sent the 19-year-old centre forward on loan to League Two outfit Doncaster Rovers, where he initially struggled to find consistent game time under new Rovers boss Schofield.

Woltman, who made his second start of the season against Walsall on Friday, insisted that the style of play implemented by Schofield suits his game.

The Reds talent revealed that everyone in the Doncaster squad helped him settle in and said that he is enjoying his first-team involvement at the club on a weekly basis.

“The new gaffer likes playing football”, Woltman told the Liverpool Echo.

“His style of play is really good and it suits me so hopefully we can build a good relationship and I can go on to play a lot of football and see what the season brings for me and the team.

“I’m finding it really good.

“I’ve settled well and all the lads made me feel really welcome from the get-go.

“It’s really good being here and seeing what it’s like around a first team environment week in, week out.

“Being on the away trips, in all the training sessions, and being with some senior pros.

“I’m really enjoying it so far.”

Woltman has made ten outings for Doncaster this season but has failed to find the back of the net so far, something he will be looking to change soon.
