The Leeds defender has failed to cement his place in Marsch’s first-team so far, in spite of tasting success at Cardiff City during a loan spell in the second half of last season.
The 21-year-old has been given just 70 Premier League minutes by his manager so far, giving rise to speculation about his short-term future at the club.
Drameh’s 49-year-old manager insists that the player’s performances so far this season have impressed him.
Marsch though wishes to assess the full-back’s personal situation just like anybody else to see whether yet another loan spell would be good for him.
“You bring up Cody and Cody has been fantastic over the last month”, Marsch said at a press conference, when asked about Drameh.
“I am so happy that we have got to a point with him where he feels so energised by what we are doing and engaged.
“The decision will be how to continue to push him in the direction for him to be an important player for this club which I think he will be and maybe we even need to think about how it fits now.
“He’s done really well and I am really happy for him.
“Then you kind of just try to go through every player, what’s the situation of the team, what’s the personal situation, how do we provide him with what he needs to push him along as quickly as possible.”
Drameh has a contract with Leeds that runs until the summer of 2024 and is sure to have options in the January window.
