Burnley are sitting at the top of the Championship table and are favourites to get promoted back to the Premier League.

However, Vincent Kompany is unwilling to rest on his laurels and the Burnley boss is keen to bring in more reinforcements for his squad.

The Belgian wants to bring in more midfield options and he is looking at a player from the second tier of Turkish football.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, the Clarets are interested in getting their hands on Adanaspor midfielder Ait Bennasser.

The 26-year-old midfielder is a product of French club Nancy and had spells at Monaco, Caen, Saint Etienne and Bordeaux before moving to Turkey with Adanaspor in 2021.

He is in the final six months of his contract and the midfielder could move on in the winter window.

Kompany likes him and Burnley are plotting to take him to Turf Moor in the January transfer period.

Ait Bennasser also has options to stay in Turkey where he clubs such as Sivasspor and Konyaspor keen, ahead of the winter window.
