The 20-year-old Frenchman completed the move to join Leeds over the weekend as the club spent big to land a big young talent.
Leeds have agreed to pay a club record to sign an attacker who has scored just two goals this season in the Bundesliga.
Rutter has also agreed a contract that will see him earn €30m on a five-year deal at Leeds and the costs of the deal were a massive point of discussions at Leeds before the transfer was completed.
The Leeds board debated for a while whether to commit such funds but it has been claimed that the 49ers pushed through the move.
The club are still owned by Andrea Radrizzani but the American Football side also own 40 per cent of the club.
They eventually pitched in to help Leeds complete the move and take the Frenchman to Elland Road.
The 49ers also have the option to take over from Radrizzani completely before January 2024.
But talk of the 49ers taking charge of the club has intensified and they could be looking to take sole charge of Leeds by the summer.
