The Clarets are on a roll at the top of the Championship table and are the favourites to go straight back up to the Premier League.

But Vincent Kompany is refusing to rest on his laurels and is pushing to bring in more reinforcements for his squad in the ongoing transfer window.

A midfielder is on his agenda and Burnley previously failed with an offer for Konyaspor star Hadziahmetovic, which was rejected.

And according to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, they have gone back to Konyaspor with an improved offer for the defensive midfielder.

Burnley’s latest bid for the midfielder stands at €3.5m and they are ready to put in another €1m as add-ons.

The Championship leaders are pushing to land the 25-year-old midfielder as part of Kompany’s January plans.

It remains to be seen whether the latest offer is good enough to convince Konyaspor to sell him to Burnley.
