Tony Mowbray is looking to add two or three new signings to his Sunderland squad in the ongoing transfer window.

Sunderland are fishing in the loan market and they have been in talks with West Ham for the signature of promising midfielder Ekwah.

The 21-year-old midfielder is rated highly by the Hammers but the club want to see him play regular first-team football in the latter half of the season.

And it has been claimed that a deal is done for the Ekwah to join Sunderland on loan for the rest of the campaign.

The negotiations have been a success and Sunderland have completed a deal to sign the midfielder on loan.

Mowbray wants more bodies, especially experience, but he is likely to be happy to have one more midfield option for the rest of the season.

Ekwah will hope to play regularly in the next few months and return to West Ham a better player in the summer.
