So far Roca has been played in every one of Leeds’ Premier League games this season and has a goal and an assist to his name each.
The 26-year-old has mostly served in the defensive midfield role as Leeds have endured ups-and-downs in momentum this season.
Kilgallon thinks that the Leeds faithful have not actually witnessed what Roca is capable of, as due to their league position the summer signing has to do a lot of defensive work.
The ex-Leeds star explained that going on a pre-season game, he feels Roca is capable of spraying passes across the field but because the Whites are bogged down in the bottom half of the table, that side of the midfielder is not coming to the fore.
Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds, Kilgallon said: “I don’t think we’ve seen how Roca plays at the minute.
“I think because of where Leeds are in the league he’s having to do the horrible side, win the ball, pressing, making tackles.
“I saw him in a pre-season game where he was getting it and he was spraying balls about and you think he’s got a hell of a left foot on him.
“We haven’t seen many of switches because it’s so frantic.
“I don’t think we are seeing how he actually plays because a lot of teams are on top of Leeds United at the moment.”
Leeds fans will be hoping that their table situation improves and if that happens, it will be seen if Roca plays in the way that Killgallon thinks he is capable of.
