The midfielder’s future has been under the scanner all month and it has only got more heated going into the final days of the transfer window.

Brighton rejected a verbal £55m offer from Chelsea earlier in the transfer window and on Friday, they rejected a £60m bid from Arsenal.

Both London clubs are still interested and Caicedo published a statement on social media that said that he wants to leave Brighton.

The Seagulls are still not in any mood to sell the player and have only dug their heels in further.

Brighton have now asked him to stay away from training and the first team until the end of the transfer window.

He is not in training today with the squad and will not be involved against Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Brighton have maintained that he is still not for sale and are not interested in listening to any offers for him.

They are still expecting him to stay and want him to be part of their squad from 1st February onwards.
