Gallagher is attracting serious interest heading into the final hours of the transfer window and is a wanted man.
Everton have put in a bid worth £45m in an effort to take him away at Stamford Bridge, but Newcastle are also keen and could make their own offer.
However, Gallagher’s preference is to stay at Chelsea.
The midfielder is happy at Chelsea and would like to stay at the club.
He could though be told to go and in that case it is suggested he would rather join a club in the top six, such as Newcastle.
A further factor however could be that Chelsea are not keen on strengthening rivals as they look to finish in the top four.
Gallagher is also of interest to another Premier League side in the shape of Crystal Palace, where he previously had a loan spell.
